OK Tire Celebrates 40 Years in Business
I'm feeling nostalgic this week. This Sunday, March 1st will be the 40th anniversary of Kinfarm Tire ltd. (OK Tire in Bervie). The business began on March 1st, 1986 when I was 5 years old. I can't even fathom the changes that have happened in that time, but I do want to celebrate that milestone and have some pictures of the early days of the business, so I thought that, throughout this week I will share them with the people who have made us what we are today. Thank you for all of the support through the years, and here's to 40 more! #40yearsstrong #OKTire #40years #kincardine #KincardineOntario #ripleyontario #brucecounty #brucecountyontario #greycounty #walkertonontario #paisleyontario #lucknowontario

Well, day 2 of our nostalgic pictures. As I mentioned in a post yesterday, Sunday March 1st is the 40th anniversary of Kinfarm Tire (OK Tire), so I thought that I would share a couple picutres of the man who started it all, my dad Larry Kraemer. He's featured in both of these pictures, driving the Massey 44 and showing off the new golf club he won in a golf tournament. The parade picture is downtown Kincardine in front of what is now Sleepers bed gallery (around 1990), and the other picture is in the parking lot of the Bervie shop around 1993. Fun fact, the 2 cars pictured in the Bervie picture belonged to the fathers of current staff members. The Cordoba belonged to Chris' dad John Cortan, and the Crown Victoria belonged to my dad. My uncle also still has the Massey 44. #kincardine #walkertonontario #KincardineOntario #brucecountyontario #brucecounty #40years #40yearsstrong

The Polar Plunge is BACK – are you ready to get #FreezinForAReason?
Welcome to the Second Annual Kincardine Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Ontario!
We’re thrilled to be back for another year of Freezin’ for a Reason in support of our incredible local athletes. Once again, plungers will be braving the icy waters inside a roll-off waste bin supplied by Elliott Construction, with the union hall open for warming up and changing after your jump.
This year’s theme is Superheroes & Villains!
Whether you’re suiting up as your favourite hero or unleashing your inner mischief as a classic villain, costumes are highly encouraged - because nothing makes a frigid plunge more fun than doing it in character!
