Good Morning, Kincardinites! Welcome to this issue of Kincardine Spotlight – where you can find all of the area’s events in ONE place.

Today’s the day - Market in the Park!!! So exciting, this is a beloved Kincardine tradition that is loved by locals and visitors alike. I’ll be there - will you? This is where I get my precious Csabi - authentic Hungarian sausage that you can’t get anywhere else in town.

This week’s business spotlight is Treats & Tales - not just another used bookstore, but a quaint and cozy spot for Canadian-made items, used books, magazines and other goodies. Read more about Treats & Tales below.

I have a few spots left if you’d like to showcase your business in the visitors guide! For a nominal fee of $50, you and your business can get in front of thousands of tourists this season! Email me for more info - [email protected]

More favourites coming your way in the coming weeks, and the Visitors Guide is coming along nicely. We will post the link when it’s finished in the next week or so.

Enjoy this issue of Kincardine Spotlight. Don’t keep us a secret - forward to a friend who missed out on an event because they weren’t subscribed to Kincardine Spotlight 🙂 Subscribe here

Huron-Kinloss Beach Fire Permit Info

Planning a Beach Fire in Huron-Kinloss? Here’s what you need to know:

Beach fires are a great way to cook or stay warm by the lake—but they do require a permit and must follow specific safety regulations:

Permits are available to Township property owners or tenants only

Fires must be in approved pits (dug into sand, stone/masonry rings, or pre-made containers)

Fires must not exceed 1m x 1m x 1m

No fires when winds exceed 16 km/h

Firewood only – no leaves or prohibited materials

Keep at least 3m away from buildings, dry grass, or vegetation

Fires must be supervised by an adult at all times

Have water, sand, or a fire extinguisher on hand

Respect the beach—no fires on dunes or in pedestrian areas

Fully extinguish fires, clean up, and cover with sand when done

Let’s keep our beaches safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Inclusive Playground at McPherson Park - Have Your Say, Fill Out the Survey

Take a look at what’s coming to MacPherson Park The updated concept design for the MacPherson Park Inclusive Playground is now available, and we’re sharing the detailed illustrations for the first time. Thanks to feedback from the community, the Accessibility Advisory Committee, and project partners, the design has been refined and is one step closer to construction. Before it’s finalized, we’re inviting residents to take a quick survey and share final thoughts on the design, shade options, and surrounding park features. Please note, the new playground surfacing will be 100% poured-in-place rubber for accessibility. Check out the concept drawings and complete the survey on our project page: https://www.kincardine.ca/Macpherson-park
