Wow, how is this upcoming weekend the last one of July? Crazy! Why doesn’t February fly by like this? Anyway, lots of things happening around town, as usual in Kincardine in summer. Cruise Night is this Friday, just a couple of days away; hopefully the weather co-operates. Of course, the Phantom Piper and the Saturday Night Pipe Band will go on as usual.
Also don’t miss the Summer Sing-a-Long this Sunday at Dunsmoor Park. Tomorrow, Walker House is the venue for Active Living 55+ “Coffee, Cake & Conversation from 10:30 - 12:30. It’s free, so stop by for friendly conversation and yummy treats!

The Point Clark Lighthouse opens for the season on Friday, June 26! Visit beautiful Point Clark and book a ticket to climb to the top of this National Historic site and explore the Lightkeepers' museum! Open daily from 10:30am - 5pm. Wear closed toe/backed shoes (no flip flops or slides) Ages 4+ only up the tower (but the museum is free for those under 4!) Notice: Marine Archaeology Survey of SS Erie Belle Wreck Site Planned for Summer 2026. A licensed marine archaeology survey will take place this summer in Lake Huron to document the SS Erie Belle wreck site. Qualified volunteers, including archaeologists, divers, and historians, will document and record remains of the site, including detailed measurements of the Boiler Beach boiler, to help better understand and preserve this part of local history.

Municipality of Kincardine Media Release - July 24th, 2026

Community Safety Zone Approved for Highway 21 Near Kincardine Township-Tiverton Public School. The Municipality of Kincardine is pleased to announce that the Province of Ontario has approved a new Community Safety Zone on Highway 21 near the Kincardine Township-Tiverton Public School (KTTPS). The Community Safety Zone will extend along Highway 21 from approximately 300 metres south of the KTTPS entrance to approximately 300 metres north of the school entrance. It encompasses the primary school access area, including student drop-off and pick-up, school bus operations, and the section of roadway with the highest level of vehicle activity.
